Biography

 

Elise Slominski EAMP, Dipl. AC is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist practicing in Seattle. She is also a board certified Diplomat of Acupuncture, recognized by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Elise received a four year, Master of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine degree from Yo San University in Los Angeles, CA. She chose to pursue her formal education in California as the State continues to maintain the most stringent standards for acupuncture education and examination of anywhere in the United States.

Nine years ago Elise, her husband, and cats moved to Seattle from Venice Beach, CA in search of their next adventures. After working on the Eastside for two years, Elise decided the time was right to go into solo practice and Pin Up Acupuncture was born. From 2012-2016 South Lake Union was home for the practice but the winds of change were blowing once again and relocation to North Seattle’s Maple Leaf neighborhood was calling. With her husbands help, Elise was able to create a gorgeous Zen like garden treatment space for her patients to enjoy before and after care.

Acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional support, cupping therapy, and moxabustion are just a few tools in Elise’s clinical repertoire. She firmly believes in establishing a good foundation of communication with her patients forming a team in their healing journey. Clear communication, a gentle Japanese needling technique, and stellar bedside manner are just a few things that set Elise apart from other practitioners.

When Elise is not working with her patients you can find her cruising in her Classic Mini Cooper, building terrariums, or preparing her monthly mix for a UK based radio show. With her feline sidekick Trixie Bit, Elise also enjoys watching the local birds, squirrels, and cooking for friends.
